According to the Avesta news agency, more than 6.8 billion somon ($601.7 million) of foreign capital was attracted to various sectors of Tajikistan's national economy in 2021.
According to the statement of the Tajikistan authorities responsible for the economy, $2.5 billion of this amount is foreign direct investment.
According to the information obtained, the relevant institutions were instructed to produce solutions that would increase the attractiveness of foreign direct investment, especially in the processing industry.
Especially in the next 5 years, it is planned to increase the volume of direct investments in GDP (Gross Domestic Product) to 10%.
Currently, 82 public investment projects worth more than 42 billion salmon ($3.7 billion) are implemented in the country.
