The first freight train from Tajikistan to Turkey through the territories of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran began its journey at a ceremony held in the Tajik capital Dushanbe on Monday. This is reported by "Business Turkmenistan" with reference to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
The ceremony was attended by delegations from these countries, transport companies and business circles. At the same time, a logistics conference of Tajikistan was held with the participation of representatives from different countries. The heads of transport departments of Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, after two days of discussions during the first ministerial meeting on October 8-9 on transit cooperation in Tehran, signed a joint statement with the aim of developing transit cooperation.
