The Working Group of Tajikistan visited Turkey from November 28 to December 2, where it held bilateral talks with Turkish partners on the development of cooperation, exchange of experience and best practices in the field of healthcare financing and primary health care. This was reported to Central Asia.news by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

In Ankara, the delegation of the Republic held a meeting with representatives of health institutions of Turkey, which play a significant role in ensuring the health of the people of this state. Within the framework of the negotiations, Deputy Minister of Health Gafur Mukhsinzoda discussed with his Turkish colleague, the possibilities of further expanding cooperation between the countries and implementing reforms in the financing of the healthcare sector in Tajikistan within the framework of the Strategy for Protecting the Health of the Population of the republic for the period up to 2030.

It was noted that Turkey has extensive experience in the field of health system reform, in particular in the field of primary health care. In this regard, the participants of the meeting agreed that these negotiations will determine effective practices regarding the introduction of new financing mechanisms in this area, improving access to medical services and achieving universal health coverage, as well as the SDGs.
