TVs with built-in IP tuners will soon be launched in Turkmenistan. This was reported at a meeting of the Cabinet Ministery  on december 15.

In particular, it was noted that the "Aydin Gijler" Economic Society plans to launch production of smart TVs with screen sizes of 32", 42", and 55" inches. All TVs will be equipped with built-in IP tuners based on software developed by the Center for Young Scientists of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics. In order to ensure the high quality of these products, a number of specialists of Aydin Gijler have got suitable training abroad, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan .

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved  the idea of ​​producing domestic smart TVs, and stressed that Turkmenistan has good anticipation for the development of modern industries, including in the electronic industry, for the creation of joint ventures. and noted that domestic private sector should be more actively involved in this area.
