"The Russian oil company Lukoil has strategic interests in Turkmenistan, which possesses significant reserves of hydrocarbons", said the head of the Russian oil company Vagit Alikperov during the meeting with the president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat. This was reported on the official website of Lukoil.
- Alikperov emphasized that Turkmenistan offered a favorable investment environment and relevant legal basis that allow effective cooperation to develop oil and gas fields, as well as
infrastructure construction. Therefore, the company is interested in implementation of the projects in these sectors.
Welcoming the initiatives of Russian partners, the President of Turkmenistan mentioned that all the proposals of both parties were worked out together with the state representatives "Turkmenneft" and "Turkmengaz" and sent for further consideration.
“Turkmenistan is always open for productive cooperation with the foreign partners, ”said Berdymukhamedov. He noted the traditional friendship and constructive nature of Turkmen-Russian relations.
The head of the state and the guests admitted the willingness of Turkmenistan and Lukoil to develop long-term mutually beneficial cooperation.
