New products were produced at the cement plants of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan. This was announced at a Government meeting by Shamukhammet Durdylyev, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the construction sector.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Construction together with the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences has taken steps to use active mineral additives in the production of cement in order to increase the production of basic types of building materials and expanding the range of domestic products.
Portland cement of the 400-G20-K brand is being produced. In addition, the production of 500-G20-K cement is in the process of establishment. The active mineral additive required for this purpose is basalt porphyries. They are extracted from rocks at the deposit “Ufra”, which is on the balance sheet of the Balkan ore management. Due to their physical and chemical properties, these minerals greatly improve the quality of cement. The state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports that the production of the above-mentioned types of products will increase the output of high-quality cement by up to 20 percent.
