Russian   truck manufacturer KAMAZ is negotiating to supply of its electric buses for testing operation to Turkmenistan in 2022. This was reported by the news agency Tatar-Inform, with reference to the general director of Sergey Kogogina on Friday.

Kogogin said that there is quite a lot of interest in the topic in the Arab world, adding that the company is currently negotiating in the Persian Gulf countries for the supply of electric buses.

According to the report, electric buses are currently being operated in Moscow.

 The supply of KAMAZ electric buses to Turkmenistan was also discussed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in Ashgabat in May this year.

 Kamaz holds a leading position in the production of trucks, and is also produces trailers, buses, engines and power units.  In 2021, 350 electric buses were manufactured here, which have already demonstrated their capabilities on the streets of large cities of the Russian Federation.
