Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz said during the Turkmen-Turkish Business Forum held in Ashgabat that the volume of trade between our two countries exceeded $2 billion in 2022, reached $2.5 billion in 11 months of this year and is expected to reach about $3 billion by the end of the year.

At the same time, the parties set the task to increase the volume of mutual trade to 5 billion. Cevdet Yilmaz also stated his readiness to cooperate in the supply of electricity. "We are ready to undertake and develop new and very large-scale projects together to deliver both Turkmen electricity and natural gas to world markets," he said. "As soon as we go to Turkey, we will mobilize all our relevant institutions, especially our Ministry of Energy, and together we will plan and take concrete steps towards this the issue," the Vice President added.

He called transport another area of strategic importance, in particular transportation along the Middle Corridor. "We continue to work with Turkmenistan and other relevant countries on the Middle Corridor. We will continue our joint efforts in transportation logistics," he said.
