The Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye have signed a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation to enhance their partnership in the natural gas sector, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media.
The document was signed on Friday following a meeting between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Türkiye to participate in the 3rd Antalya Diplomatic Forum, and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Following the meeting, a Declaration of Intent on cooperation in the hydrocarbon resources sector between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye, and a Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmenistan Airlines OJSC and the University of the Turkish Aeronautical Association were also signed.
According to the signed documents, Turkmen gas will initially be exported to Türkiye and then to the global markets, as stated by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye Alparslan Bayraktar on social media.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov delivered a speech at the third Antalya Diplomatic Forum held at the Nest Congress Center.
