Uzbekistan has transferred humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan in the form of medical items, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reports.

The aid transfer took place on May 30 in Osh.

Humanitarian aid consisted of:

  • 1 000 tons of flour;
  • 60 tons of hypochloride;
  • 2,500 disposable respirators;
  • 2,500 protective suits;
  • 5,000 pairs of disposable gloves;

* 5,000 medical masks.

During the pandemic, Uzbekistan has provided humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyzstan for the second time. The first cargo was delivered in early April. A month later, Republic of Kyrgyzstan helped Uzbekistan with the supply of cement and foodstuff after the collapse of Sardoba reservoir.

Kyrgyz JSC company- UBS transit, and Turkish Arcas logistics company have launched a new multi-modal route for the delivery of goods from Turkey to Kyrgyzstan and back by rail and sea. On May 20, Osh received the first cargo of 40 containers delivered on the new route. This was reported by the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz REPUBLIC.
